heard that most of you have been rolling in the snow, shoveling sidewalks and driveways like crazy, and staring out into the never ending blizzard weather. then there's me, enjoying the sunshine. i'm sure that in a few months i will be wishing that the sun would hide behind a cloud, but for now i will bask in its glory and brag about it just a bit.
yesterday i spent six hours doing yard work. i pruned all of my lantana bushes, ridding them of their frost bitten branches, and then raked about three tons of leaves. being a fairly new arizona resident and city dweller, i now know that my next home is to have strict desert landscaping. raking leaves literally sucks. who knew how good mom and dad have it living in the country and letting mother nature do her thing with the wind?! matt failed to rake at all last year so all along the one side of our home there were not only this year's leaves but last year's, rotten and wet. it was a joy to be sure, but now finished none the less.
today i was going to start painting the den/second guest room, but matt put the x-nea on that. not sure why but i won't complain too much, i've got plenty to keep me otherwise occupied. ah, the pleasure of home owning...
