coffee and credit card receipts...

i consider myself a pretty organized person. one example of this is that i keep all of my credit card receipts. when i get my statement in the mail i double check my purchases, staple these receipts to the statement, and tuck it in the drawer for safe keeping. since getting married i have relinquished the duty of paying the credit card bill, however i have not stopped collecting my receipts (a trait i am sure i have inherited from mom).

yesterday i decided that i should finally go through my receipts, as i have just been putting them all in a pile and not reconciling them with the statements. what a chore! i had receipts dating back to december of last year. after going through eight months of receipts i have come to the conclusion that i: buy gas only once a month, eat a lot of yogurt, and (embarrassingly enough) drink many many mochas from starbucks.

i am sure you are wondering why i am telling you about all this. well, i believe this brings us full circle to yesterday's coffee debate between don and dad. when i am at home, french roast is hands down my favorite too. nothing can beat a giant mug of joe. starbucks is my last resort while working, hits the spot but gets definitely (as i found out yesterday) expensive. bk, although i've never tried it and doubt i ever will, i am sure is fine if you need a fix. but i guess the best part of this whole debate is that don and dad actually had a conversation that stemmed around bk coffee and it's taste worthiness. as meredith grey once put it, "seriously?"...
