two more checks, one fun place...

yesterday was my last day of "on call" for the month of june, and i was blessed by not getting called out on a four day trip. what this basically means is that i now have off until sunday. sweet, right?

i decided to take advantage of this blessing by doing some much needed work around the house. i started with the patch and paint project i was stuck with after matt's surprise bathroom job. it was a small project that really needed to be done, and now our bedroom is back to normal.

and in an effort to be more GREEN, the next thing i wanted to accomplish was to sew a reusable shopping bag. matt might say that i must have been bored, but in fact there were other projects that i put on hold in order to finish this one. i did a little research and was amazed at all the sites that offered patterns and tips on how to make bags. i decided that wendy's design best fit our needs, and given a couple of hours with some scraps of fabric, the bag was completed.

every month i will try to show a new green project that anyone can do. last month i turned an old sock into an awesome sock monkey.

and now i must sign off as my hubby is taking me to a fun place...we're headed downtown to see the much anticipated baseball game of brewers vs. diamondbacks. a nice treat after a hard day's work.
