donation centers love me...

i hate clutter. i am not a knick-knack person. if i don't use it anymore, then i don't want it. if it doesn't have a function or purpose, then it's not for me. i make about four trips a year to donation centers and my trunk is always full.

i have had this anti-hoarding affliction my entire life. my roommates growing up are my witnesses
. about once a month i would empty out our entire shared closet and reorganize, declutter, and throw out stuff i didn't deem necessary to keep. they usually had little to no say in the matter. of course i kept our collectibles, favorite items, and memorabilia, but anything that was of no use was outta there.

it has been a long time since i've emptied out an entire closet, but today, with the help of matt, i got to relive my teenage years. for a while now
i have been wanting to get rid of the clothing we no longer wear. i am a firm believer that when one runs out of hangers it's time to reevaluate the wardrobe!! so matt and i cleaned out the closet and the dresser in our bedroom and found that we had sixty three items to donate. we eliminated so many clothes that we no longer require a dresser in our room. i should have done this a year ago...

See, Im a firm believer that clothing gets second chances if you just hold on to them long enough. Like my blue snakeprint leather pants. They'll come back. Just wait!
