liar liar pants on fire...

so we made it through a whole week with visitors and no one was made the wiser about my "condition". i have to admit that it was super tough though as i was still nauseous throughout the day and at some points ready to call it quits and collapse into bed for my daily nap. sorry maurers for not telling you, but thank you for distracting me and getting me another week closer to the end of the first trimester.

i'd also like to thank the following contributing factors:
  • i was constantly entertained
  • we did have a few down moments where i could sit and catch my breath
  • my ziploc baggies of pretzels and tums were never discovered in my purse and became my saving graces in times of need
  • i was able to blame not eating on my new acid reflux disease that afflicts so many of us vaters anyway
  • i gave up alcohol for lent (and the baby)
  • no one asked
a few factors that if picked up on could have totally given me away:
  • i didn't drink any coffee
  • i got really light headed making pancakes and had to lay down
  • i almost didn't make it at lunch time at red mountain and laid on a picnic bench exhausted
  • i couldn't dice onions and every meal matt made stunk up the entire house, which i complained about
  • i couldn't eat a lot of things and blamed it on acidity...even if it wasn't acidic!
we may have had to tell a few white lies but our secret is safe for a little bit longer.
