i'm actually still a little bit in shock that we had a girl. all i've known was boy, so boy is what i had expected. even when my sister offered me hand me down girl clothes, i took very few as i didn't think i'd put them to use. i lovingly unpacked my baby boy clothes and filled up the dresser drawers in sweet anticipation of using them once again. you can imagine my surprise then as the doctor place our baby on my chest and announced that it was a girl. a girl. a girl? yes, a girl. six pounds and fourteen ounces of girl.
so without further ado i'd like to introduce you to our sweet little girl, eloise jane.
needless to say we were less than prepared to clothe a baby girl all in pink on her trip home from the hospital (or the next day or even the next). thankfully we were blessed with friends that have girls, and they have graciously clothed our daughter ever since.
