thank you spiderman...

i will admit it... we caved...we had christmas early. we got ourselves a present and opened it right away. ohhhh...we are cheaters!!!

last night matt and i decided to rent a movie. we tried a new place, the grocery store, and with a promo code in hand we got our one dollar movie for free. matt arranged the snacks as i tried to cue up the movie. unfortunately the machine was jammed shut, showed that it was already playing (w/o a disc), and there was no longer a visible display. uh, nice. there goes our lazy night in comfy clothes in front of the boob tube.

we got back in the car and headed to wally-world to see if the christmas stripped shelves had anything to offer. luckily there were some machines available and we settled on a dvd/vcr combo. after forty-five minutes of matt trying to hook up the new machine we finally jerry-rigged it to play. it was ten fifteen by the time we started the movie but matt was determined to watch spiderman three after all of our efforts. (my efforts included: drinking bailey's on the rocks, watching tv, and reading the installation book out loud only to be told "i know what i am doing" even though it wasn't working...hmmmm.)

with caryn and kate as our witnesses, our dvd player was on the fritz. it worked well enough, but never got through a full movie without stopping several times or playing without sound. and in our defense we only had about twelve hours to watch our rented movie before getting stuck with a late fee. so in all honestly i think you would gift yourself early too.

or not?? post your thoughts...

ps: we went to bed after twenty minutes.

Christmas isn't about the exact day, it's about the moments you share together during the holiday....sounds like you had one of those fun, still kinda newlywed, moments....what could be more perfect, or memorable?
Love ya!

A little funny how a guy gets a goal in mind and Katie bar the door it's going to get done. Only lasted 30 minutes, hummmm? Must have been a new goal in mind!
