last night we went to the drive-in again, and i have to say that the second experience was much better than the first. this time we went with a bunch of friends and saw Iron Man. i really had no desire to see this movie, but i ended up sitting on the edge of my seat, totally absorbed by it.
why was this time was soooo much better? well, our friends that invited us along had brought furniture to sit on and a few coolers of beer. and by furniture i really do mean a couch. they had strapped it into the bed of their truck, along with a patio furniture set (loveseat, two chairs, and coffee table), pillows, blankets, and a boombox. after quickly unloading the set and arranging it in the outdoor living space, it was like we were watching the movie on our own private backyard big screen. it was definitely the way to watch a drive-in movie!!
