jane, caryn, catherine, and liam were able to join us this past week for seven days of fun in the sun. although catherine and liam were content to just swim every single day, we did force them into doing some other activities. we visited the Hall of Flame museum, hiked in Papago Park, played arcade games at GameWorks, and of course shopped. almost every day was hot and sunny (much to jane's tanning pleasure), but even the few cloudy days had some pool time worked in. all in all it was a very good visit and we look forward to next year!

things i learned during their visit:
i don't have nearly enough kid movies (we watched E.T. every day)
i don't have nearly enough wii games
liam prefers to say bananacorn instead of unicorn
liam talks in his sleep
i need a better strategy when playing Settlers of Catan
kids wake up way too early, even though it's summer and they're on vacation
catherine is becoming a teenager way too soon
