crickets and spiders...

ding dong the crickets are gone. i believe it is finally safe to say that. for those of you that don't know what i am referring to, matt and i have "house crickets". i have learned that they are common in phoenix, but to me they are oh so nasty. i tried to make myself believe that they were gone about two weeks ago, unfortunately that was not the case. mom and dad got to experience the horror. they thought i was crazy when the first thing i did when i walked in the door was search the floor for anything that moved or shall i say jumped. sadly, that is the only way to catch and kill my coinhabitants. usually i find between one and six a night, which is followed by a gasp or high pitched scream (which dad and matt can attest to), and then i try to squish them with a shoe. i say try because they jump so freakishly high and far that matt has to step in to take care of matters. *sigh* i will not miss them...probably because i know they will be back around june.

forget the lovely
arizona recluse spider
left in my freezer.
