the pains of painting...

matt and i finally picked out the colors for our living room and hallway. for those of you that don't know, we have been picking out colors for these two areas for over six months. we decided on: shore- a soft green gray and believable buff- tan. to my delight i was able to finish the hallway last week and started on the living room yesterday. things were going great until our step stool was too short for me to reach the ceiling. fortunately we have a ladder so i ran out to the storage shed and brought it in. unfortunately i forgot i was on the ladder and when i decided to "just hop down" i landed on the top of the a-frame. basically my ass cheek caught the edge of the steel frame and my wrist caught the counter top. ouch and some other bad words!! when i reached the ground i wanted to lay in a lump but i was still juggling the paint container and brush (yes, i didn't drop them!). a bruise has yet to appear but the pains of painting are definitely remembered.
