training continues...

today's running post: warmed up for five minutes, ran for seventeen minutes, cooled down ten minutes, stretched. tired. total workout: two and a half miles.

i read january's issue of Runner's World during my last trip. it had some great tips as well as motivating stories. i hope i use both to strengthen my body and mind...motivation is key and i am going to need it to go from two miles to thirteen.

PS: lauren, we have a new recruit. brooke has signed herself up for the torture!! by the way, anyone that's interested is invited to join us. flight to phoenix is on me!!

Wow, sign me and Don up. If we happen to get sick (cough, cough) before the race I guess we could just lay by the pool and drink liquids...

ohh i am totally in for the (cough, cough) sickness part of this trip.. besides i will be on christmas break and it will be great.. sign me up!

well, (cough cough) you are more than welcome to sit by the pool drinking liquids anytime you want. but you do know that it is freakin' freezing here in january and the pool is about as cold as lake michigan?? right?
