yesterday i suggested that we get out of town, and matt was quick to agree. we decided on san diego, checked the availability on flights, secured a hotel and car and off we went! don't you just LOVE that kind of flexibility?!

today we went to the san diego zoo.
i don't remember ever seeing so many active animals.
here's a shot of one of my favorites!
we conquered the zoo by three pm and headed downtown to the gaslamp quarter for a bite to eat before the flight home. our trip came to an end all too soon, however we truly enjoyed the beauty of san diego, wonderful california weather, and ease of travel!!

Wasn't the zoo gorgeous?? Never seen one like it!! We should all do a day trip together - we're thinking of doing Seattle next!
