i live in a state where it is too warm to be wearing anything constrictive this time of year, however for documentation sake i can still get away with wearing my regular jeans and t-shirts. ...well, until the early afternoon anyway. by then my belly is crying out for some stretch pants, no pants, shorts or a skirt, anything that will allow the little bump to breathe.
unfortunately for the bump my job takes me from one corner of the country to the other, through all the seasons, hot and cold. and my job requires me to wear a uniform, no stretch pants allowed. which to me, when not pregnant, is quite alright. i don't have to spend tons of money on clothes for the office. my job tells me what to wear and everyone is the same so no big deal. but now that i am pregnant, the bump is starting to get slightly uncomfortable by mid-day in those high waisted pants and belt across the middle. together they just don't scream comfort.
so today as i packed for my next 3-day trip i debated on what to wear. could i make it to the afternoon in my regular sized uniform? do i bother going through the discomfort for sake of privacy? is this the trip where my pregnancy will be announced just by wearing a maternity top? do i really want to start answering the same questions over and over and over? so i tried on both options and believe it or not comfort won.
i suppose people were going to find out sooner or later anyway.
