two events for the price of none...

did you know that having a baby could unleash the monster photographer in you?  it has in me.  i have always loved to take pictures and be creative behind the lens, but now there is this crazy need to grab my camera and capture EVERY moment.  sadly, it is nearly impossible to do so as even i won't put down my cuddly newborn just to fetch my camera.  besides, with my luck the moment would be lost by the time i returned anyway.

however, when my camera is within reach, our baby has provided me with a multitude of great photo ops.  and although i haven't captured the "firsts" of everything, i have taken well over two hundred photos since his birth only three weeks ago.  my plan was to send out the cutest birth announcement you'd ever lay your eyes on, then i remembered that the holidays were just around the corner.  what better way to announce our baby's birth than to tie it in with a holiday card as well?!  brilliant, i know.

last year i was lazy busy and didn't get around to sending out holiday cards (sorry folks).  this year i have no excuse, especially since the subject matter is so darn adorable.  i already use shutterfly to share our photos with family and friends, so i knew that it would be easy to utilize the same site when i created our 2010 holiday card.  who knows, maybe i'll get really ambitious this year and make a 2011 calendar while i'm at it.  then again, perhaps i shouldn't get ahead of myself quite yet.

~~this year shutterfly is offering 50 FREE holiday cards
to bloggers everywhere!!  click here for details.~~

Make sure you stay up to date on plugging the photos into an album.

I slacked off for a couple of months and now am over three years behind. I get nervous just thinking about it. I must have tens of thousands of photos from three years and a handful of vacations to organize.
