mom and dad are currently visiting us and as soon as they arrived we put them to work. we needed to cut a tree down that was tangled in our electrical wires and then trim some others that were much too overgrown. dad couldn't wait to get his hands on the chainsaw, and even showed me how to use it to help with the little stuff.

okay, the chainsaw was not the cause of the bleeding. i actually got stabbed in head with a giant thorn off of my bougainvillea plant. after it happened i thought to myself that it really hurt and that perhaps i would bleed from the incident. a few minutes later i heard a scream out of mom and knew that the sticky substance running down my face was blood and not sweat like i had hoped. oops!
