yesterday we surprised the kids with a splash park. think lots of water coming out of many pipes, the ground, mini slides, waterfalls, and shower heads. it opened at ten am and we arrived right in time, along with two school buses full of pre-schoolers. unfortunately the sun only peeked out from behind the clouds about every ten minutes, combined with the water and a small breeze it made for a very cool activity (it was about seventy five degrees as a high). as you can see by the photos though, it didn't stop liam and catherine one bit.

the forecast for today is mid sixties, cloudy, and a high chance of rain. for my wisconsin visitors this is just another day of norm...however for us arizonians this equals COLD. my little visitors don't understand the notion of NOT swimming in that big pool in the backyard, so our challenge is to keep them distracted until it warms up this weekend. wish us luck!
